Linyi Qiyang International Airport held a route promotion conference on Oct 21 ahead of the 2026/27 winter-spring flight season, outlining new, resumed and expanded services and a new air-rail product. About 70 representatives from regulators, partner airlines, travel agencies, ticket agents, corporate clients and media attended.

Under the new schedule, which follows the civil aviation authority's nationwide seasonal switch, the airport will add nonstop flights from Linyi to Quzhou in Zhejiang province and to Quanzhou in Fujian province, while maintaining its Linyi-Fuzhou service.

The Quzhou route will be paired with a high-speed rail connection from Quzhou Station to Yiwu Station, creating an air-rail itinerary for traders travelling to the Yiwu wholesale market, which has no direct flight to Linyi. The airport says this links Linyi's wholesale markets with the trading hubs of southwestern Zhejiang.

The Quanzhou service opens a direct air link between southern Shandong and the coastal cities of southern Fujian.

The airport said the adjustments also optimise trunk routes and expand regional ones, extending its network across the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta and the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle.

At the promotion event, airlines presented their capacity deployment, flight schedules and ticket products for Linyi, while travel agencies outlined packages combining tickets with scenic attractions and air-rail connections with business inspection trips.

Linyi Qiyang International Airport said it will improve check-in, security and waiting procedures, expand its "transfer through Linyi" service with single check-in and through-checked baggage, and continue building itself into a regional transport hub for southern Shandong and northern Jiangsu.
