The Linyi International Product Selection Center, which opened on Sept 28, now hosts 324 enterprises across 698 shops. Each enterprise can connect with over a dozen source factories, allowing overseas buyers to find their desired products by browsing a single building.
The center focuses on production materials, including building materials, machinery, hardware, and household goods. Many local manufacturers previously lacked the channels or expertise to export directly. The center provides a dedicated foreign trade service team that guides businesses through customs clearance, shipping, and overseas warehousing.
A company representative noted that before the center opened, they had already secured an order worth over 7,000 yuan ($1,050) from a fellow tenant.
The center's "one store linking multiple factories" model helps buyers access factory-direct prices while giving local enterprises more bargaining power. About 30 percent of the resident enterprises have no prior foreign trade experience.
For international buyers like Sheila from Kenya, the center dramatically simplifies sourcing. Previously, she spent a week traveling between wholesale markets to gather goods. But now she can negotiate nearly all her purchases in one office. The center also features a cross-border e-commerce park and international logistics park, with integrated transport reducing shipping costs by over 20 percent.
Supporting facilities, including international hotels with Halal dining and foreign language services, are being developed to enhance the experience for overseas visitors.
