Shandong Xiangqiu Auto Maintenance Equipment Co is presenting its heavy commercial-vehicle maintenance line at the fourth Linyi Trade City International Sourcing Conference, which opened in Linyi, East China's Shandong province, on Oct 28, hoping to convert overseas buyers already sourcing general merchandise in the city into customers for industrial equipment.
Founded in 2003, the company makes equipment used in the servicing of trucks, buses and semi-trailers, including tire buffing machines, riveting machines, bearing cleaners, lubrication units and wheel-handling trailers. It holds nine product patents and has obtained ISO9001 quality system certification.
Export compliance has been a precondition for entering the company's main markets. Its products are manufactured to meet the European Union's Machinery Directive and Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive, requirements that many Chinese suppliers of garage equipment have found difficult to satisfy.
The company sells through distributors in more than 20 countries and is preparing three overseas transit warehouses so that spare parts and complete units can be delivered faster to buyers in Europe, Africa and Southeast Asia.

Han Baofang, who heads the company, said the sourcing conference offers a different kind of buyer from a conventional trade fair. "The buyers who come to Linyi are already placing orders for Linyi's goods," Han said. "What we need to do is show them that the city also makes the equipment their own workshops use."
The fourth Linyi Trade City International Sourcing Conference runs from Oct 28 to 30, with more than 2,000 international buyers from over 110 countries and 4,000 domestic buyers expected, and 1,200 booths across 10 exhibition zones.
