Yishui Cherry whole industrial chain drives rural revitalization and cultural tourism integration

On May 27, the cherry picking season kicked off in Wangzhuang Village, Xiawei Town, Yishui County, Linyi. Boasting a century-old cherry planting history, the local area has developed a large-scale planting base of 38,000 mu, with an annual output of 30 million jin of cherries and an industrial output value exceeding 300 million yuan. Integrating characteristic forest and fruit resources with profound red cultural heritage, the local area takes the opportunity of the "Internet-famous Village Live-streaming" publicity campaign to build e-commerce live-streaming platforms and develop the characteristic e-commerce industry. Meanwhile, local authorities have built a common prosperity industrial park, improved the intensive processing system, and extended the cherry industrial chain to launch diversified products such as fresh cherries, preserved fruits, jam and fruit wine, driving local employment and income growth. 

By establishing a whole industrial chain model covering seedling cultivation, planting, e-commerce sales and intensive processing, and promoting clustered development, the local characteristic industry has been continuously expanded. Furthermore, the area deeply integrates red cultural study, pastoral picking and rural tourism resources to foster new forms of integrated agriculture, culture and tourism, activating rural development momentum and making the cherry industry a core pillar for increasing villagers' income and promoting comprehensive rural revitalization in the old revolutionary base area.
