Volunteer-made rice dumplings deliver warmth ahead of Dragon Boat Festival in Linyi

As the Dragon Boat Festival approaches, a heart-warming charity activity was held in Gaotuan Village, Xianggong Sub-district, Yihe New Area of Linyi on June 15. Volunteers gathered to make festive rice dumplings with 200 kilograms of glutinous rice, producing a total of 2,000 zongzi.

All freshly cooked rice dumplings were distributed for free to local elderly residents and households enjoying special care. Volunteers also paid door-to-door visits to deliver the gifts to villagers with limited mobility, ensuring everyone could feel the festive joy. The activity carries forward the traditional Chinese virtues of respecting the elderly and helping neighbors, creating a harmonious community atmosphere.
