Wangzishi Village inherits Kuang Heng culture to boost cultural and industrial revitalization

Wangzishi Village in Lucheng Town, Lanling, rooted in the historical story of Kuang Heng studying by borrowed light, builds a 300-meter cultural corridor displaying ancient virtues and village family precepts, alongside a village museum showcasing rural historical relics. The village annually selects model mothers-in-law, daughters-in-law and virtuous households to promote filial piety and diligence.

The village develops a whole-chain gourd industry with standardized greenhouses, intangible cultural heritage pyrography workshops and live streaming e-commerce studios, attracting 40 young entrepreneurs and increasing income for over 100 households. A 34-person volunteer team regularly carries out village environmental renovation, free haircuts and elderly assistance services. In the past five years, the small village of 180 households has cultivated more than 20 college students under the influence of diligent study culture.

Deep cultural heritage combined with characteristic industries forms a sustainable rural revitalization path. Linyi will dig into local historical and cultural resources across villages, integrate cultural inheritance with industrial development, and draw strength from traditional virtues for comprehensive rural vitalization.
