Provincial Yimeng Spirit Speech Contest Final Held at Linyi University

The final of the Shandong Provincial University Speech Contest themed "Pass Down the Yimeng Spirit from Generation to Generation" took place at Linyi University on the morning of June 17. Guided by the National-level Coordination and Research Center for Revolutionary Cultural Relics of Linyi University & Former Site of the Headquarters of the East China Field Army.

A total of 298 entries were submitted from 61 universities across Shandong. After rounds of rigorous selection, 15 outstanding teams advanced to the grand final. Yu Aimei, president of the Yimeng Spirit Inheritance Promotion Association and a national advanced theoretical speaker, delivered an inspiring speech to all young contestants. She encouraged college students to integrate their understanding of the Yimeng Spirit into academic pursuit and social volunteer work, and shoulder youthful responsibilities for national rejuvenation. The original theme song Pass Down the Yimeng Spirit from Generation to Generation, written by university league cadres and composed by young faculty, was officially released on site. After fierce competition, 10 Gold Medal Speakers and 20 Excellent Speakers were awarded.

Rooted in the old revolutionary base of Yimeng, Linyi serves as an important platform for red culture education among youth. The province will continue to carry out serial themed activities to pass on revolutionary heritage, guide young college students to inherit and practice the Yimeng Spirit, and inject lasting youthful vitality into regional cultural construction and high-quality development.
