Donggaozhuang Village integrates red tourism and shared wealth workshops

Remote mountain villages faced weak industrial income and limited employment positions for stay-at-home women and seniors. Donggaozhuang Village combines red cultural inheritance with handmade processing industries to realize dual growth of cultural tourism and collective revenue.

The village renovated idle village committee buildings into Meng Mama handicraft co-workshops, providing order-based sewing jobs for elderly and female villagers who can work near home without leaving family. Meanwhile, the village art troupe stages red folk operas for study tourists, driving sales of local handmade goods. Eighty-five years after Follow the Communist Party was written, the village balances material prosperity and spiritual civilization.

Red culture plus featured handicrafts forms a replicable rural revitalization path. Linyi will promote the co-workshop and red tourism dual model across mountain villages to boost inclusive common prosperity.
