On the eve of the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the Young Post Office at Zaoyuan Primary School in Linyi launched a themed activity “Write Letters to Revolutionary Martyrs” to pass down red genes among teenagers.
Teachers introduced the glorious founding history of the CPC with a special stamp depicting the Red Boat on Nanhu Lake. Deeply inspired, students wrote heartfelt letters to express their respect and gratitude for revolutionary predecessors. Founded in May 2017, this rural Young Post Office is the first of its kind in Shandong Province, and has been awarded the title of Provincial and National Model Base for Youth Philately. It holds regular twice-weekly activities including letter delivery, special postmark stamping and cross-exchanges with youth post offices nationwide, and creates distinctive stamp postcards for Teachers’Day and new school terms.
Rooted in the Yimeng red land, the post office takes stamps as a vivid carrier for red education. Through tiny stamp images, children learn Party history and revolutionary stories, cultivating patriotism and becoming young messengers of red culture inheritance.
