Fengyang Town in Pingyi County relies on local high-quality Yimeng wormwood resources and superior ecological environment to build a whole-industry-chain wormwood economy, integrating planting, intensive processing, health wellness, research and tourism to fuel rural vitalization.

The town has built a standardized wormwood planting base covering more than 600 mu by revitalizing idle mountain land, adopting unified seedling cultivation, management and harvesting modes to turn barren hills into high-yield industrial fields, helping local farmers increase annual income by 2,000 to 3,000 yuan per mu.

Leading local enterprise Shandong Nuannuanai develops over 100 wormwood products including moxa sticks and intelligent moxibustion instruments via ancient and modern processing technologies. Relying on the high-quality Yimeng wormwood with high volatile oil content, its products are exported to Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia. The innovative "enterprise + village collective + farmer" benefit mechanism drives employment for 220 villagers and increases collective income by over 30,000 yuan annually per village, with the total industrial output value exceeding 20 million yuan.
