CCTV host Ren Luyu recommends Linyi's culture and delicious local food

A special promotional video featuring famous CCTV host Ren Luyu introducing Linyi's tourism and culinary highlights has recently gained widespread online attention. During a music gala event held in Linyi, Ren Luyu spoke highly of the city, calling it an underestimated treasure boasting splendid natural scenery and profound cultural heritage, and strongly recommended iconic local delicacies to audiences nationwide.

In terms of gastronomy, Linyi stir-fried chicken stands out as the most famous regional dish praised by Ren Luyu. Free-range mountain chicken is stir-fried in iron pots without extra water, retaining rich meat juice and mellow spicy sauce. Paired with handmade multigrain pancakes dipped in thick gravy, it delivers a unique local flavor. Other signature foods include thick beef soup sa, donkey meat and handmade pancakes that carry centuries of folk food culture.

Culturally, Linyi serves as the birthplace of Eastern Yi culture and the ancient Langya County with nearly 3,000 years of history. It is the hometown of Wang Xizhi and Zhuge Liang, where the bamboo slips of The Art of War and Sun Bin’s Art of War were unearthed. The city integrates red Yimeng culture, ancient literati heritage and modern commercial tourism resources, covering scenic spots such as Mengshan Mountain, the ancient Langya Town and riverside ecological corridors.

The recommendation by national mainstream media figures helps expand Linyi's national popularity.
