Daizhuang Village in Sunzu Town, Yinan County carries glorious revolutionary history of the First Column of the Eighth Route Army and turns red heritage into powerful driving force for rural vitalization.
In 1939, the headquarters of the First Column of the Eighth Route Army settled here, where the heroic 17 martyrs of Heshangu fought to the last. The village built Red Memory Hall and a 15-million-yuan research tourism complex covering multiple industries including study tours, modern agriculture and homestays. It developed greenhouse vegetable bases, lotus planting areas and micro industrial parks, offering nearby jobs for over 260 villagers and raising annual collective revenue by 3.45 million yuan.
The village also built a comprehensive elderly care center with affordable canteen service for seniors. Rooted in red culture, Daizhuang combines revolutionary heritage with modern agriculture, tourism and people's livelihood projects, winning provincial and national honors as a red beautiful village and setting a replicable model for Yimeng rural revitalization.
