Blueberry orchards in Yinmaquan Village, Zhuanggang Town, Junan County entered full picking season in late June. Local female farmers pick fresh berries every morning, earning stable daily wages without sacrificing family care work.

The village began trial planting of blueberries in 2005 by taking advantage of local acid soil resources, and now the planting area exceeds 3,000 mu. The town has built professional blueberry trading markets and cooperated with Shanghai food enterprises to package high-quality berries and deliver them to the Yangtze River Delta via cold chain logistics. At present, Zhuanggang has a total blueberry base of 6,000 mu covering nearly 900 growers, with this year's output hitting 5,500 tons and industrial output value reaching 80 million yuan, driving over 8 million yuan of extra income for villagers. The town plans to expand greenhouse planting, extend processing chains and integrate agri-tourism to build a distinctive blueberry town.

The whole-industry blueberry chain creates a replicable rural vitalization path relying on local land resources. The characteristic agriculture model steadily increases village collective revenue and household income in mountainous towns of Yimeng.
