Against the backdrop of the National Conference on Social Etiquette and Civility in Rural Areas, Linyi's rural development features four landmark transformations covering living environment, industrial formats, folk customs and spiritual culture.

First, the environmental transformation: Linyi upgraded rural living conditions via zone-based construction, turning messy villages into picturesque homesteads. Second, the industrial transformation: Relying on red tourism, intangible heritage handicrafts and modern agriculture, villages developed diverse wealth-generating industries such as Linshu willow weaving and Yinan red film base. Third, the custom transformation: Institutions including village public banquet halls restrict extravagant rituals, saving villagers over 20 million yuan in Daicun Village alone. Fourth, the spiritual transformation: Over 318 revolutionary sites serve open-air classrooms, inheriting the Yimeng Spirit through village operas and mass lectures.
The four-dimensional integrated development combining ecology, industry, custom and red culture forms Linyi's distinctive rural civility model, explaining why the national conference chooses the Yimeng old revolutionary base as its host city.
