Xujiahu town extends industrial chains with systematic chain thinking

Xujiahu Town of Yishui County adopts systematic industrial chain thinking to develop three signature industries: pigeon breeding, Chinese rose seedling cultivation and hazelnut planting, forming three complete closed-loop industrial systems within several years.

The town invested 120 million yuan to build a 4 million-capacity pigeon breeding base matching local pet food factories, realizing self-supply of raw pigeon meat instead of external procurement. Idle poverty alleviation greenhouses were transformed into a 220,000-stock Chinese rose breeding base supplying seedlings for surrounding villages. Two thousand mu of sandy land was transformed into Shandong's largest hazelnut plantation, with per mu income four times higher than peanuts. All three industries extend upstream breeding and downstream deep processing links, driving village collective dividends and household income growth.
