Youth study tour combines local ICH culture with provincial games sports experience

Hosted by Langya News Client, the one-day summer study tour themed Zero Distance to Provincial Games concluded at Linyi Olympic Sports Center on July 19, bringing nearly 30 teenagers integrated experience of intangible cultural heritage and competitive sports.

The activity was split into two major modules. In the morning, students visited Linyi Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, learned about willow weaving and local food ICH via AR interactive devices, then took cloth patch painting handcraft lessons guided by ICH inheritors. In the afternoon, professional lecturers gave popular science talks on artistic gymnastics rules of the 26th Shandong Provincial Games, followed by on-site viewing of teenage gymnasts’ training and badminton interactive coaching. Every participant received exclusive study certificates recording dual gains of culture and sports.

The cross-domain youth activity bridges traditional folk art and provincial sports events. It cultivates teenagers’ cultural confidence and sports passion, echoing youth civilization cultivation requirements of the National Conference on Social Etiquette and Civility in Rural Areas.
