Shawo village develops chestnut industry and trendy rural tourism

Shawo Village of Qingyun Town, Linshu County, the core node of the Yimeng Good Chestnut Rural Revitalization Zone, breaks village boundaries to integrate ten surrounding villages and build an integrated eco-tourism cluster centered on ten-thousand-mu chestnut forests.

The village renovates idle water pump stations into popular riverside coffee spaces and transforms abandoned primary schools into youth creation bases for willow weaving and chestnut cultural handcrafts. Campsites, book houses and landscape trails are constructed among chestnut woods, forming a year-round leisure system with summer forest relaxation and autumn chestnut picking. The village holds annual chestnut cultural festivals and mountain music parties to convert tourist traffic into sustainable industrial revenue. In 2025, the zone received over one million tourists, driving stable growth of village collective and household income.

Shawo's innovative model of combining characteristic agriculture and trendy countryside tourism demonstrates a new revitalization path for plain villages.
