Linyi builds all-scenario performing arts tourism system

The national promotional event "Travel With Performing Arts" under the 2026 "Discover Shandong's Hidden Treasures" Tourism Year will launch at Langya Ancient City on July 28, showcasing Linyi's full-range live performance tourism layout.

Known as a "City of Performances", Linyi has built a complete performance map covering ancient city culture, riverfront light shows, red revolutionary immersive dramas and mountain landscape live shows.

Langya Ancient City presents over 300 daily Chinese-style performances and interactive NPC storylines. The indoor grand drama Magnificent Langya has staged more than 1,900 shows with over 4 million audience visits. The equestrian live show Defend Rivers and Mountains restores ancient historical battles with 150 performers and real horses. Along the Yi River, the mobile water curtain show Night Painting Langya runs along a 4-kilometer riverside route.

Yinan Hongsao Homeland Scenic Area offers immersive walking performance Retrace the Frontline Supply Route, where visitors role-play wartime villagers to experience the deep bond between soldiers and civilians during the Huaihai Campaign. Mengyin’s live war drama Hero Menglianggu reproduces the Menglianggu Battle with a three-dimensional panoramic stage. Mount Meng's landscape shows and Feixian's Yimeng Minor Tune outdoor performances enrich mountain tourism.

Live performances have become a core driver of Linyi's tourism economy. Langya Ancient City received 658,000 visitors during the 2026 Spring Festival holiday, generating over 80 million yuan in comprehensive revenue. The city's tourism strategy "Travel With Performing Arts" shifts local consumption from single ticket revenue to integrated cultural and travel spending.
