Volleyball Tournament links sports and tourism in Lanling's scenic area

The 5th Linyi City Gas Volleyball League & Huaihai Economic Zone Invitational Tournament kicked off on July 26 at Yayugou Scenic Area in Lanling County, integrating mass sports, cultural tourism and local specialty sales.

Co-sponsored by Linyi Municipal Bureau of Sports and Lanling People's Government, the event attracted 68 teams and over 600 athletes from the Huaihai Economic Zone. Four competition groups were set up for young men, young women, middle-aged men and middle-aged women.

Following the "sports events enter scenic spots" concept, organizers arranged intangible cultural heritage displays and local agricultural product booths around the stadium. The tournament drives catering, accommodation and sightseeing consumption for Lanling while popularizing national fitness among residents and tourists.
