Yimeng spirit shines at Yihe Night opera launching ceremony

The launching ceremony of the Fourth Yihe Night Small Opera Exhibition opened a vivid cultural chapter carrying forward the Yimeng Spirit on the evening of July 28 at Linyi People's Square.

July 2026 marks Linyi's first Yimeng Spirit Promotion Month, and the Yihe Night exhibition serves as its core cultural activity. Local small operas present real-life rural stories, revolutionary memories and volunteer tales, striking deep resonance with audiences of all ages.

The stage performance opened with the dance Beautiful China, followed by a lineup of well-crafted plays. Citizens shared their heartfelt feelings after watching the shows, noting that the plots reflect authentic local life and carry warm positive energy. Performers spent months polishing scripts and lines to deliver genuine local stories to the public.

Chen Tao, Deputy Curator of Linyi Cultural Center and chief director of the ceremony, stated that grassroots operas serve as a vivid medium to tell Linyi's stories, spread the Yimeng Spirit and promote the city's development experience to wider audiences across Shandong and the whole country.

The dual performance schedule of municipal shows and regional tours ensures high-quality cultural resources reach residents in all districts and counties of Linyi, enabling more citizens to enjoy free public cultural feasts during summer nights.
