Fourth Yihe Night opera show draws crowds across Linyi

Crowds gathered at Linyi People's Square for the opening of the Fourth Yihe Night Small Opera Exhibition on July 28.

The venue was packed with audiences, including children watching performances on their parents’shoulders. Judges scored each performance live during the gala. The opening program list covered dance shows and five featured small operas including Bridge of Heart and Sunflowers Bloom Freely.

The municipal performance phase runs five consecutive evenings from July 28 to August 1. After that, four sub-tours will be held in four county-level regions from August 5 to August 8 to share premium shows with grassroots residents.

All performances feature local amateur actors from villages and communities, showcasing original scripts rooted in Linyi's daily life, red history and rural revitalization progress. The large-scale summer cultural activity attracts tens of thousands of offline visitors and gains wide online exposure via live video streaming.
