Performance tourism campaign kicks off at langya ancient city

The 2026 Discover Shandong's Hidden Treasures tourism promotional event "Travel With Performing Arts" officially launched at langya ancient city on July 28.

Co-hosted by Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and Linyi Municipal People's Government, the activity presents Linyi's full spectrum of immersive performance tourism resources to nationwide tourism operators and media representatives.

Liu Yunfeng, founder of Langya Ancient City, shared the scenic area's integrated development model combining large indoor dramas and street immersive shows. Linyi's tourism promotion official introduced a complete performance travel route covering ancient city galas, Yi River water curtain shows, red immersive dramas and mountain landscape performances.

Key landmark shows introduced include Magnificent Langya, equestrian live play Defend Rivers and Mountains, walking red drama Retrace the Frontline Supply Route and Menglianggu Battle panoramic performance. The event also released a national recruitment plan for cultural tourism promotion ambassadors to expand Linyi's cultural tourism influence across Shandong Province.
