The second municipal centralized performance of the Fourth Yihe Night Small Opera Exhibition opened at Linyi People's Square at 19:30 on July 29. Six original small operas were staged, winning warm applause from the audience with realistic plots rooted in daily life.

The lineup included six well-polished works: Families by the Bridge, Exam Paper, Perfunctory Inspection, An Oil Lamp and other local creations. All scripts depict grassroots livelihood, grassroots governance and warm civilian stories, performed by amateur local artists with sincere, vivid acting.

Audience members of all ages sat closely together and watched attentively, frequently cheering for the touching scenes. The municipal centralized performances run from July 28 to August 1, followed by cross-district tours covering four county-level regions from August 5 to August 8, bringing grassroots cultural shows to residents across Linyi.

The Yihe Night brand has cultivated more than 16,000 rural literary volunteers and produced over 800 original operas, recognized as a national model for grassroots public cultural services. All performances are free for citizens to enrich summer cultural life and pass down the Yimeng Spirit through accessible stage art.
