Floating Lanting Preface calligraphy wows market visitors in Xianggong District

A creative floating brush calligraphy performance became a major hit at the weekend market in Xianggong District, Yihe New Area on August 6.

Local calligrapher Li Shuqiang staged unique aerial writing art, presenting the classic masterpiece Lanting Preface created by Wang Xizhi, the Sage of Calligraphy, in a brand-new floating form. Different from traditional desk writing, brush strokes unfold freely in mid-air with elegant flowing lines, forming stunning visual effects favored by crowds of market-goers.

The bustling street market filled with ordinary urban vitality perfectly matched the timeless charm of traditional Chinese calligraphy. Many visitors stopped to take photos and share clips on social media, praising the creative blend of folk life and classic culture as exclusive romantic beauty unique to Linyi.
