Linyi holds national development speech contest for 15th Five-Year Plan

The final of the city-wide public speech contest themed "Set Sail for the 15th Five-Year Plan, Build the Chinese Dream Together" was held on August 7 in Linyi.

Co-hosted by the Publicity Department of the CPC Linyi Municipal Committee and 10 municipal government departments, the competition set four categories: theoretical interpretation, personal story, artistic performance and video presentation. A total of over 120 contestants from enterprises, villages, schools and government organs entered the city final after county-level preliminary rounds.

Speakers interpreted national development plans, shared grassroots struggle stories and delivered revolutionary red stories carrying forward the Yimeng Spirit. Performers adopted allegro, short dramas and recitals to combine theory with vivid daily cases.

Professional judges awarded first, second and third prizes across all categories. The event turned macro national strategies into accessible grassroots narratives, uniting cadres and residents to strive for high-quality development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.

Linyi will continue regular grassroots lecture activities to spread innovative theories and pass on the Yimeng Spirit to wider audiences.
