A multi‑theme exchange activity themed Red Bond Connecting Mountains and Seas, Linyi‑Shanghai Marching Toward New Progress was held in Shanghai from August 16 to 18. The event combined inheritance of the Yimeng Spirit, industrial investment promotion and talent exchange, opening a new chapter for win‑win regional cooperation.

Originating from revolutionary history, the Yimeng Spirit shares ideological roots with the great founding spirit of the CPC. In the early revolutionary years, Linyi communists pursued further studies in Shanghai. During the liberation period, large numbers of cadres from Yimeng went south to support Shanghai’s reconstruction. Such historical bonds lay solid foundations for modern‑day bilateral exchanges.

The event integrated thematic speeches, situational dramas and red‑story performances to present Yimeng's revolutionary heritage to more than 260 guests from the Yangtze River Delta. Linyi released talent‑recruitment policies and issued key technology “unveil‑the‑list” innovation challenges. A total of 31 cooperation contracts were signed covering high‑grade steel, new‑energy commercial vehicles, fine chemicals and biomedicine.

Three special parallel forums were held during the session, focusing on trade‑city global expansion, agricultural‑food‑processing industry cooperation and fund‑roadshow docking. The series of events gives full play to Linyi’s position as Shandong’s bridgehead for integrating into the Yangtze River Delta. It boosts two‑way flows of capital, talent and industry resources between Linyi and Yangtze River Delta cities.

Moving forward, both sides will expand practical cooperation in more sectors, turning historical spiritual kinship into tangible industrial and livelihood achievements.
