From August 28 to 30, the historic "New Langya" district beneath the illuminated Lan Mountain will transform into a gastronomic hotspot as Linyi plays host to the much-anticipated "Fireworks of Yimeng – Flavors for the Games" Wenhe Dawang Cup 2026 Third Linyi Fried Chicken Culinary Festival and Provincial Games Food Week.

The three-day epicurean extravaganza, timed to coincide with the ongoing 26th Shandong Province Sports Games, aims to showcase Linyi's signature fried chicken—a beloved local delicacy renowned for its crispy exterior, tender meat, and robust blend of spices that reflect the region's rich culinary heritage. Organizers expect thousands of visitors, including athletes, officials, and food enthusiasts, to flock to the event venue, where master chefs from across the city will compete in live cooking demonstrations, tasting sessions, and interactive workshops.

Beyond the sizzling woks and aromatic stalls, the festival integrates cultural performances, folk music, and traditional handicraft displays, creating a vibrant night-market atmosphere under the glow of lanterns that have long symbolized Linyi's historical charm.
