Young pioneers receive training to pass on Yimeng spirit in Hedong district

The Communist Youth League Hedong District Committee has organized special training sessions for “Yimeng‑red” young pioneer docents, helping teenagers inherit, interpret and spread the Yimeng spirit with youthful voices.

Centered on Yimeng revolutionary history, heroic stories of red‑sisters and local revolutionary deeds, the training covers four major dimensions: red‑knowledge accumulation, public‑speaking skills, etiquette standards and on‑site emergency response. Trainers demonstrate speech rhythm, emotional delivery, eye contact and body language. They give hands‑on guidance so students can move beyond mechanical recitation and deliver vivid, heartfelt narrations.

Zang Zixu, one of the young pioneer docents, said the training enriched his knowledge of local revolutionary history. He will keep practicing and strive to tell Yimeng red stories well for audiences.

During practical drills, student docents take turns giving simulated presentations. Instructors give targeted comments to polish rhythm and emotional expression.

Since the project was launched, Hedong district has held five rounds of special training, cultivating more than 500 outstanding teenage volunteer commentators. The youth team delivers public‑welfare explanation services at memorial halls, campuses and community venues, making the Yimeng spirit accessible to wider audiences.
