Military‑themed practical training kicks off for new seventh‑grade students at Linyi Experimental Middle School

The opening ceremony of national‑defense comprehensive practical training for Grade‑7 new students of Linyi Experimental Middle School was held at Linyi Municipal Teenager Demonstrative Comprehensive Practice Base on September 1. The five‑day training aims to strengthen students’ national‑defense awareness, willpower, discipline awareness and teamwork spirit.

The ceremony commenced with the solemn national anthem. Teachers, students and military instructors stood facing the national flag and saluted as the five‑star red flag rose slowly. Military instructors gave a splendid drill demonstration of formation movements including standing at attention, turning, quick march and goose‑step, showing rigorous military style and receiving warm applause from the audience.

Wu Jigang, representative of training instructors, pledged that all instructors would deliver standardized, civilized training and help teenagers forge strong willpower. Zhang Guodong, member of the Party committee and vice‑principal of Linyi Experimental Middle School, encouraged students to embrace hardships, challenge themselves and gain growth through sweat.

At the flag‑conferring session, company flags were handed over to student formations. With the order given, the five‑day national‑defense practical training officially began. Right after the ceremony, students started formation drills on the training ground.

School officials expect students to build stronger self‑discipline and team consciousness through this experience, and get fully prepared for junior‑high‑school study and life.
