The grand closing ceremony of The 26th Shandong Province Sports Games was held on September 5 at the Gymnasium of Linyi Olympic Sports Park, marking a perfect end to the first‑ever provincial‑games hosted in the old revolutionary Yimeng base.

The evening gala opened with the scenario dance Colorful Yimeng. Delegations from 16 prefecture‑level cities marched into the venue. Attendees stood for the national anthem. Organizers announced competition results and awarded sports‑morality‑style prizes to outstanding delegations.

A highlight short‑film revisited touching and inspiring moments from the 16‑day competition. Afterwards, the provincial‑games flag was formally handed over to Dezhou and Liaocheng, co‑hosts for the 27th Shandong Province Sports Games. A promotional video of the next‑session host cities was played on the giant screen, sending forward‑looking invitations for the year 2030.
