“Culture nourishes Yimeng” calligraphy campaign launches alongside “Mantingfang” family‑tradition themed exhibition

The launching ceremony of the Culture nourishes Yimeng — Calligraphy goes to hundreds of schools, villages and enterprises campaign and the opening of Mantingfang themed calligraphy exhibition focusing on family virtues, family precepts and self‑cultivation were held in Linyi. Jointly initiated by cultural and calligraphy associations, the events bring Chinese traditional calligraphy art closer to grassroots communities.

The Mantingfang exhibition gathers more than 120 calligraphy works created by local calligraphers. The creation themes revolve around fine family traditions, ethical self‑cultivation, good village customs and the inheritance of Yimeng spirit. Works adopt multiple calligraphic styles including regular script, official script, cursive script and running script. The exhibits combine artistic aesthetics with moral‑education connotations.

The newly‑launched “hundreds of schools, villages and enterprises” campaign will organize calligraphers, calligraphy educators and young practitioners to carry out offline pen‑writing salons, public‑welfare lectures, on‑site creation and exhibition tours. Activities will be delivered to campuses, rural villages, communities and industrial enterprises across Linyi.

During the opening‑day on‑site pen‑meeting, dozens of calligraphers wrote scrolls featuring family‑tradition maxims, Yimeng‑spirit quotes and classical Chinese proverbs. Some works will be donated to schools, village‑level cultural stations and enterprise cultural centers for permanent display.

The series of events inherits Linyi's time‑honored calligraphy cultural heritage. It helps traditional calligraphy step out of museums and galleries and integrate into daily life of schools, villages and factories, promoting the construction of civilized rural customs and family‑tradition education.
