The spectacular opening ceremony for the 12th Provincial Games for Persons with Disabilities & 1st Special Olympics Games of Shandong Province was staged at Linyi Olympic Sports Park on the evening of September 17, under the official theme Chasing dreams in Yimeng, sharing splendid moments.

The ceremony began with the entry of national flag, games flag and delegations from 17 prefecture‑level cities across Shandong. Athletes and referees delivered solemn oaths.
