Mass wedding ceremony to be held at Wuzhouhu Square on September 28 in Linyi

A grand collective wedding ceremony will take place at Wuzhouhu Square on September 28 in Linyi. Altogether 60 newly‑wed couples will take their marriage vows amid witness from the public, practising new‑style wedding customs of frugality and civilization amid the upcoming National‑Day holiday atmosphere.

Ten golden‑wedding couples will be invited to the event. They will present family‑tradition scrolls and send best wishes to the 60 newly‑married pairs. Rooted in local customs reform, the collective wedding advocates rejecting high‑cost betrothal gifts and extravagant banquets, calling for simple but sincere wedding celebrations.
