China Railway Jinan Group has added night high-speed train services at Linyi North Station in East China's Shandong province since Sept 24, as travel demand surged during the National Day holiday with family visits, tourism and student trips overlapping.
Linyi North Station added nine night high-speed trains that either depart from or terminate at the station during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday period, giving travelers more options. The night services allow passengers to travel at night and sightsee the next day, making better use of their holiday time.
To serve fans returning from the Linyi stop of Li Ronghao's "Black Horse" world tour in October, the group added two special trains, G9345 and G9347, between Linyi North and Jinan West. Train G9345 on Oct 6 departs Linyi North at 11:11 pm, stops only at Qufu East and arrives at Jinan West at 12:21 am the following day. Tickets are already on sale on the official 12306 platform.
To address the transfer difficulties of passengers arriving at night, Linyi North Station has worked with local transport authorities to establish a 24-hour coordination mechanism, tracking arriving passenger flows in real time and adjusting bus capacity and operating hours accordingly. The station has also added a designated ride-hailing pickup area, optimized traffic routes and expanded waiting areas, achieving seamless connections between rail, bus and ride-hailing services.
