Qingtupo town stages cultural and sports events for National Day

Qingtupo town in Yinan county, Linyi in East China's Shandong province, held a range of cultural and sports activities over the National Day holiday, including song performances, a "National Day Cup" basketball tournament and square dance displays, to enrich residents' cultural life.

The Qingtuobei village community was particularly lively. Several performance groups, including the Yangdu Voice Choir, the Furong Huakai Art Troupe and the electronic wind instrument band of the county's university for older adults, gathered to present a gala featuring songs, themed dances, poetry recitals and instrumental performances. Performers delivered heartfelt singing and graceful dancing, expressing good wishes for the country and their affection for a better life, and showing the upbeat spirit of grassroots communities in the new era.

Audiences watched attentively and applauded, enjoying the holiday amid laughter while taking in the Yimeng spirit from the revolutionary-themed programs. Organizers said the event enriched cultural life, lifted spirits and helped foster a sense of community.

The town said the National Day program was part of its regular efforts to organize public cultural and sports activities. It will continue to respond to residents' cultural needs, pool resources and diversify its offerings, holding regular benefit performances to cultivate civilized social customs and support the building of a more harmonious Yinan.
