Sports meet held at Changlu town central school

The 2026 autumn track and field meet of the middle school campus of Changlu town central school in Mengyin county, Linyi in East China's Shandong province, opened on Oct 9, with teachers and students gathering on the field for the event.

The opening ceremony followed standard procedures. Accompanied by the athletes' march, the judges' team and class squads entered the field in turn with neat steps and loud slogans, showing the energy of students in the new era. All teachers and students then stood for the flag-raising ceremony and sang the national anthem.

Song Aixia, Party secretary of the town, thanked the organizing committee and staff and greeted the athletes and judges, encouraging students to compete hard and surpass themselves, and asking judges to follow the rules and officiate fairly. Representatives of athletes and judges took oaths, pledging to respect the rules, opponents and judges and to uphold fairness.

On the field, athletes sprinted and jumped, challenging their limits on the track and in the sand pit, while judges measured and scored precisely and staff provided support throughout. Cheers from the stands rose and fell, filling the venue with a spirited atmosphere.

The meet served as both a test of the school's physical education and a way to temper students' willpower, strengthening collective pride and class cohesion. The school said it will continue to pursue all-round education and hold a variety of campus sports activities on a regular basis to support students' healthy development.
