A Liuqin opera performance was held at the Yizhouli stage in Lanshan district, Linyi, East China's Shandong province, on Oct 9, organized by the Yizhouli block, its property management office and Chaoyang community, bringing traditional opera to residents and the neighborhood.
Ahead of the event, the block worked with the community and property office to hold a planning meeting, assigning responsibilities for the performance schedule, on-site order, safety and logistics. Plans were made for crowd management, venue safety inspections, emergency support, sanitation and audience guidance to ensure the event ran safely and smoothly.

The performance drew strong interest. A classic intangible cultural heritage opera native to Linyi, Liuqin opera features simple, melodious vocals and a rich local flavor. Performers displayed graceful movements and authentic singing, bringing out the distinct charm of the art form. Familiar accents and classic repertoire drew residents and shopkeepers to stop and watch, with applause rising repeatedly as audiences took in the cultural depth of the traditional art.
