Feixian builds scenic roads and new attractions into Mengshan tourism circuit

Feixian county, Linyi, East China's Shandong province, is expanding its Mengshan mountain tourism with upgraded attractions, scenic roads and village homestays, shifting from single-site sightseeing to a countywide circuit.

At Tianmeng scenic area, a new "Sky Mirror" viewing platform has become a signature photo spot, joining upgraded cliff attractions and a red-themed mountain train. The area has added cafe and performance venues built on autumn harvest themes.

Tourism is spreading along the Matian scenic road, which links Tianmeng with the Yunpudongtian scenic area and has become popular with self-driving and motorcycle travelers. Yunpudongtian has reported a 30 percent year-on-year rise in visitor numbers since spring.

In Datianzhuang township, the Guoxiang Man valley tourism area has built 169 farm stays and boutique homestays, receiving 700,000 visitors this year with tourism revenue exceeding 5 million yuan ($704,000).

The county is positioning tourism as a driver of the rural economy, linking scenic roads, attractions and village businesses into one circuit.
