Established in October 1992 and upgraded to a national high-tech zone in June 2011, the Linyi National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone is located in the southwestern part of Linyi in Shandong province. It has been recognized as a National Demonstration Base for the Training of High-Tech Innovation Talent and a National Torch Electronic Components Specialty Industry Base, among other accolades.

The high-tech zone prioritizes technological innovation as the core driver of economic growth. It boasts 111 innovation platforms at or above the provincial level, 243 registered technological small and medium-sized enterprises, and 185 high-tech enterprises. It hosts Shandong University Science Park and the largest technology incubation area in the city. It leads the city in patent density and talent development, nurturing 32 key talents recognized by the province.

Aligning with the city's trillion-yuan industrial goal, the high-tech zone promotes the development of emerging industries with a focus on electronics, health, and equipment manufacturing sectors, housing 193 large-scale enterprises and seven national "little giant" firms. The electronics industry is one of Shandong's top 10 industry clusters, while the health sector ranks among China's top 100 high-quality development parks.

With supportive policies and robust infrastructure, including major highways and rail connections, the high-tech zone offers a conducive environment for business and living. Educational and healthcare facilities are expanding, attracting a growing population.
