Lanling county, located in the southern part of Shandong province at the intersection of Shandong and Jiangsu provinces, covers an area of 1,724 square kilometers. With a population of around 1.46 million, the county is renowned for its rich history and cultural heritage, dating back over 2,300 years to rank as one of China's first established counties.

Known for its picturesque landscapes, Lanling boasts 611 peaks, including the famed Wenfeng Mountain, dubbed the "Little Taishan Mountain of Southern Shandong", and Baodugu, the highest peak in the county.

The county is home to several natural attractions, such as the Huibao Lake National Wetland Park and the Lanling National Agricultural Park, celebrated as "the Most Beautiful Leisure Countryside in China".

Agriculture is a cornerstone of Lanling's economy, earning it the title "China's Vegetable Town". With an annual vegetable output exceeding 5 million metric tons, Lanling's produce, including renowned brands like Cangshan Garlic, is distributed nationwide. The county also has significant mineral resources and a burgeoning logistics sector, supported by major highways and railways.

Lanling's industrial agglomeration advantages are emerging effectively, with the intelligent equipment manufacturing and low-carbon economy advancing toward industrial clusters with valuations in excess of 10 billion yuan ($1.45 billion).
