2026-04-20

The 5th RCEP (Shandong) Import Expo, running from April 20 to 22 in Linyi, East China's Shandong province, boasts a record 18 national pavilions in its country image exhibition area, marking the largest number since the event's launch. Additionally, five international sister-city pavilions have been established, with all booths fully allocated.

The High-quality Export Products Zone breaks away from the traditional booth-by-booth layout in favor of an immersive, experience-driven concept. It is divided into three specialized sections showcasing high-quality export products — a food zone, a crafts zone, and a daily necessities zone — attracting more than 130 enterprises.

The Quality Life Zone hosts 145 companies, 120 of which are foreign-related. The China-ASEAN Expo Group has set up an ASEAN Premium Zone, bringing together over 20 outstanding exhibitors from previous ASEAN Expos. Fortune Global 500 companies, including Yamaha, Metro, and Tesla, are also taking part.

The expo will further amplify the integrated effects of exhibition, culture, tourism, commerce, and travel. It will create four major consumption scenarios: a time-honored food zone featuring intangible cultural heritage specialties; an immersive cultural tourism zone offering premium travel routes; an e-commerce section hosting live-streaming product selection fairs; and initiatives that bring foreign merchants into local markets and scenic areas. The expo will also launch the "Imported Goods Hi-Go Festival" as an intellectual property (IP) brand, using targeted digital promotion to attract urban consumers.

In addition, a series of city experience activities will be rolled out, including a "Charming Linyi" half-day city tour, a "Linyi Night" evening tour, and a "Flavorful Linyi" gourmet tour. The expo has partnered with 35 scenic spots — including the historic Langya Ancient City — to offer exclusive discounts for expo attendees, driving consumption upgrades across the cultural tourism, dining, and commercial sectors.
