Linyi synchronizes trade, logistics to power global expansion

Linyi is fast-tracking its transformation into an international trade and logistics hub by nurturing a synergistic ecosystem where commerce and supply chains fuel high-quality development. By emphasizing deep integration of trade and industry, the city is going from a traditional wholesale market into a sophisticated, multi-dimensional industrial powerhouse.

A significant driver of this growth is the Front Store, Back Factory model, which has successfully cultivated 513 new local product enterprises. These businesses use regional resources in sectors like hardware, construction materials, and food to connect rural production with urban commercial centers. This year, Linyi plans to establish 15 new industrial parks for local products, creating a place where factories thrive in townships while markets and supporting services flourish in urban outskirts.

To back this commercial expansion, Linyi is aggressively enhancing its international logistics network. Holding the nation's top spot for TIR (International Road Transport) vehicle ownership, the city leads new routes into Central and Southeast Asia. The goal is to cultivate over 50 leading international transport firms and exceed 2,200 annual truck departures.

The city is also optimizing rail and sea connectivity. With a target of 500 China-Europe freight trains this year and seamless sea-rail intermodal services, local containers will complete all customs formalities on-site before heading overseas.
