

In the first four months of the year, the China-Europe freight trains between Linyi and Russia registered 61 trips with a total cargo value of 785 million yuan, rising 27.08% and 77.67% year on year respectively. Running nonstop from Linyi to Moscow via Erenhot, the route cuts transit time to 15–20 days. Chinese home appliances and machinery head for Russia while Russian timber is shipped inbound, forming a two-way trade structure. Linyi Customs rolled out innovative cost reduction policies to slash logistics and tax expenses for local enterprises, consolidating the rail corridor linking Shandong South with the Belt and Road Initiative.
