A national first-class cultural relic, a Western Jin Dynasty celadon lion-riding water dropper, is well-preserved in Linyi Museum. Unearthed from Xiyanchi Jin Tombs, the artifact features exquisite Yue Kiln craftsmanship and combines Central Plains culture with Western Regions elements.
The tomb complex is one of the most valuable archaeological discoveries in northern China, yielding more than 270 sets of relics. As a typical cultural carrier of ancient ethnic communication, the water dropper records the aesthetic customs and social features of the Wei and Jin dynasties, serving as solid evidence for Silk Road cultural integration.
Linyi boasts profound historical and cultural heritage. The city will better explore and display its cultural relic resources, tell the stories of ancient cultural exchanges and enhance its cultural influence at home and abroad.
