National Bureau of Statistics released summer grain output data on July 10. China's total summer grain output reached 301.49 billion jin in 2026, exceeding the 300-billion-jin threshold with a year-on-year increase of 2 billion jin, marking a new all-time high.

Farmers in Pingyi County completed wheat harvesting and grain delivery in early June. Standardized planting, improved seed varieties and mechanized farming across Shandong helped stabilize grain yields amid climate fluctuations. Local agricultural departments implemented field management guidance to reduce crop losses.

The record summer grain output consolidates national food security foundation. Pingyi and other Linyi counties will continue to advance modern grain production systems to maintain stable grain supply for the whole country.
