Fifth congress of Linyi Federation of Social Sciences convenes

The 5th Congress of Linyi Federation of Social Sciences opened on July 22. Liu Weimin, Party Secretary of Shandong Federation of Social Sciences, and Zhang Baoliang, Secretary of CPC Linyi Municipal Committee, delivered keynote speeches; Yu Shengtao, Mayor of Linyi, presided over the opening ceremony.

The conference reviewed the work report of the 4th Committee, revised the federation charter and elected a new standing committee and council. Zhang Baoliang required all social science workers to adhere to four core missions: speak for the Party, serve overall urban development, inherit Langya and Yimeng cultural heritage, and integrate theory with grassroots practice, offering targeted policy suggestions for Linyi's trillion-yuan city construction goal. Provincial officials encouraged local social science circles to leverage red cultural resources and produce high-quality research outcomes supporting rural vitalization and civilized village development.

The congress consolidates intellectual support for Linyi's modernization drive. Social science research achievements will provide theoretical guidance for the city's practice displayed at the National Conference on Social Etiquette and Civility in Rural Areas.
