Wormwood forms full industrial chain for rural prosperity in Wentuan town

Wormwood planting, deep processing, e-commerce sales and cultural tourism integrate into a complete wealth-generating industrial chain in Wentuan Town, Junan County, turning mountain weeds into "golden leaves" for local villagers.

The town has expanded wormwood planting areas to over 5,000 mu on sloped wasteland. A technical service team offers free field guidance to more than 300 farming households, lifting per mu net income above 3,000 yuan. Dong’ai Pharmaceutical processes fresh wormwood into more than 20 products including moxa sticks and herbal sachets, raising raw material added value by three to five times. Over 2,000 seasonal workers get stable jobs during harvest seasons, while online live streaming and offline herbal market channels expand nationwide sales. A renovated primary school is transformed into wormwood culture museum with handcraft workshops and research tour routes, realizing integrated development of primary, secondary and tertiary industries.
