Linyi cultivates a high-quality meat product value chain centered around pork and poultry production.

The Shanghai-Linyi cooperation and agricultural product and food-processing thematic symposium was held in Shanghai on Aug 18. The event highlighted Linyi's robust industrial foundation and agricultural strength, aiming to deepen regional economic and project collaboration.

Linyi boasts a thriving private economy and a rich cultural heritage. In 2025, its gross domestic product reached 686.2 billion yuan ($100.8 billion), ranking fifth in Shandong province and among the top 20 prefecture-level cities nationwide.

Furthermore, Linyi leads the province in both the number of agricultural processing enterprises above designated size and total revenue. Its unique agricultural products — such as Mengyin peaches, Yinan ducks, and Pingyi honeysuckle — rank first in national production volume.

During the symposium, local authorities presented Linyi's thriving food processing sector, while delegates and enterprise representatives from the Yangtze River Delta region discussed supply, demand, and investment intentions. County officials from Linyi and business leaders also engaged in interactive exchanges.

The event concluded with the successful signing of four major cooperative projects. Looking forward, Linyi remains dedicated to deepening economic ties, inviting enterprises and institutions to explore the city's vast potential. By leveraging its strong industrial foundation and brand influence, Linyi aims to facilitate mutual success and harvest a prosperous, win-win future with its partners.
