Six Linyi‑born athletes selected for Chinese delegation for 20th Asian Games

Six outstanding athletes from Linyi have been named to the Chinese national sports delegation for the 20th Asian Games. The athletes cover multiple competitive disciplines, and will represent China to compete for honors on the Asian sports stage.

These athletes are nurtured by Linyi’s youth‑sports training system. They went through multi‑layered selection at municipal, provincial and national levels, standing out among numerous domestic competitors. Their selection marks another milestone for Linyi’s competitive‑sports talent cultivation.

Disciplines of the six athletes involve track‑and‑field, swimming, martial arts and ball games. Some of them accumulated rich experience from the Games and other provincial‑level tournaments, and later stepped onto national and Asian competition arenas.

Linyi has kept improving its youth‑athlete reserve system, deepening integration of sports and education, and building multi‑level training camps and school‑sports specialty bases. The city will continue to tap young sports talent, support athletes’ training and competition, and encourage more young sportsmen from Yimeng to pursue glory for the nation.
