China Mobile's Linyi branch has strengthened network support at the Mengshan Guimeng scenic area in Linyi, East China's Shandong province, ahead of the National Day holiday, as visitors' demand for high-definition livestreaming, video sharing and mobile ticketing grows.
According to Wang Yanling, a staff member with the branch, the scenic area's complex mountainous terrain and long touring routes pose challenges, with visitor flows concentrated at core viewing platforms. The support team arrived on site a week in advance, conducted signal tests across key areas, and forecast peak network loads based on holiday visitor data from previous years.
The carrier has optimized its "700M + 2.6G" multi-band network layout, expanded the capacity of base stations along touring routes and filled signal coverage gaps on remote trails.
During the holiday, a "real-time backend monitoring plus mobile on-site staffing" mechanism will be in place, with round-the-clock monitoring of network traffic and equipment status, dynamic adjustment of network parameters, and an emergency communications vehicle deployed at the site. Staff will be stationed at the Guimeng summit viewing platform, the busiest spot, supported by repair materials and backup power supplies to ensure smooth calls, video chats and livestreaming for visitors.
